Brigitte Bernhardt

Brigitte was born in Germany and grew up with a European culture at home. She has a bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University in Recreational Therapy. She also has one son currently attending Florida State University in Tallahassee, majoring in Business Finance, having just finished his pilot’s license. Brigitte is Youth Director at her church and runs the Sunday school program every week. In 1992, she began working in an organized pre-school setting. She has always followed Maria Montessori’s peace philosophy in her classroom. She brings an added touch of basic German and children’s yoga to her class. She has been with SMHA since 1996. She loves dancing, reading, hiking, yoga, and especially children.
