Nikki Rideout – Media Specialist

Nikki was born and raised in Miami. After graduating from high school in 1991, she attended FSU. While at FSU she studied in Switzerland for a summer. This experience is where her wanderlust and love of learning was born. After graduating from FSU with a Marketing degree in 1996, she traveled on a bike through Europe for five months. Nikki traveled extensively around the world, again in 1999, with her husband, for nine months. In 2002 their daughter, Madeline, was born. Kate was born two years later. In 2007, Nikki decided to go back to school for her Masters in Library and Information Science. Nikki comes from a long line of media specialists; her mother-in-law and her husband’s grandmother were both librarians. She tries to show her students that reading a great book can take you to wonderful places.
