Sharyn Steiner

Sharyn has been a lifelong educator, working with students of all ages from Preshool through University level. She began as a remedial reading teacher in Buffalo, New York, and after completing a Masters degree in Reading, worked as a Reading Specialist and Resource Room Teacher. Sharyn continued her own education and completed a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology, followed by a Doctoral degree in Educational Psychology. After moving to Florida, she began a close association with a Montessori school, serving children with special learning or personal needs, to enable them to function successfully in their classrooms. Sharyn believes that literacy skills and personal responsibility enable children to succeed in life and it is her goal to help them achieve these. Sharyn has taught at SHMA since 2001.
