Dear SHMA Families,
Even before opening Safety Harbor Montessori Academy, Mark and Melinda Robinson began a tradition of giving during this time of year. Every year, for 25 years, the school has held a Thanksgiving food drive. Last year, we worked with the Mattie Williams Center in Safety Harbor to distribute food. We have delivered more than one hundred meals each year. We hope to carry on the tradition of giving this year in a new way. I spoke with the Mattie Williams Neighborhood Family Center in Safety Harbor. This year, they said families really need personal care items, pet food, and surprises for their toy closet.
If you wish, your child can get involved and help you check off some of the items on the list below as you shop. Any or all of these items will be appreciated. Participation is voluntary. Please do not feel obligated. We know you are pulled in many different ways, and you may have your own causes you choose to support. If you wish to contribute, please package your items in a shopping bag and drop them in one of the boxes we will have located at each carline.
We hope to collect these items over the next month and deliver them on the 11th of December. Although many things are different this year, many of the important things have remained the same. We hope to share the good feelings with our students that come along with giving and helping others.
With sincere gratitude,
Associate Head of School
