Applying For Admission

Safety Harbor Montessori Academy is currently accepting applications for admission. If you would like to apply, please read through the Visiting Safety Harbor Montessori Academy section and schedule a tour at your convenience.

Application, Fees and Tuition
Applications and agreements are available for download below. By returning your application and application fee, you will begin the enrollment process.


Preprimary & Primary Applicants 
If a space is available at that time, you will be notified in writing that your child has been accepted.  

Elementary, Middle School, and High School Applicants
If a space is available, you will be notified in writing.  Prior to acceptance, parents of Elementary & Middle School students must review and complete the Teacher Recommendation form, and schedule two in-class visiting days.
Student Visit
Once the teacher recommendation form, progress reports and standardized test scores are received, we will set up two days for your child to visit the classroom.  The times vary according to grade.

Two original copies of the
Emergency Medical Release, signed and notarized, must be on file for your child's visit.  
 
  • Lower Elementary (1st - 3rd grade)
    Classroom visits begin at 8:45 am and end at 3:15 pm

     
  • Upper Elementary (4th - 6th grade)
    Classroom visits begin at 8:45 am and end at 3:30 pm

     
  • Middle School & High School (7th - 9th grade)
    Classroom visits begin at 8:50 am and end at 3:45 pm

Acceptance
You will be notified in writing once your child is accepted.  To finalize acceptance, we must have a signed contract on file.

Waiting List
If you submit your application and fee and there is not a space available at the time, your child's name will be placed on the waiting list. You will be notified when a space opens for your child. If you wish to remove your child from the list please notify us in writing. Your application fee will be refunded, provided we have not contacted you about an open space for your child.

Safety Harbor Montessori Academy does not discriminate based on race, sex, color, religion, or national or ethnic origin in regards to admission.  Placement in a class is based on the well-being of all children concerned, and is at the sole discretion of the educational staff.

Notice to parents enrolling students under the FES-UA scholarship:  Please note that our school accommodates students with disabilities in accordance with the requirements under federal and local law.  However, your child may not necessarily receive the types of accommodations or related services that your child may be entitled to receive at a public school as public schools have different obligations under the IDEA. The IDEA does not apply to private schools.  We are happy to have a conversation with you about the accommodations that your child may need and be entitled to at our school.
